Great Strides
Today I was lucky enough to be a part of "Great Strides" a fund raiser for Cystic Fibrosis. Last night was a long yet incredibly too short night. Mikayla woke up @ 2:30 ready to start the day. She went pee in the toilet (do you realize just how hard it is to muster up any kind of enthusiasm at this hour? very), then she was off to play in the living room. I finally got her back to sleep around 4:45 and then woke up at 6:30 to feed Hunter and then get ready to go. Needless to say, my frame of mind wasn't exactly where I needed it to be this morning when embarking on such an event as this one. But after we got there and I was able to talk to my friend and her mother I was able to see just how much this walk means to everyone whose life is effected by CF. This is it- there is no government funding- this is the main fundraiser they have. A lot of my friends were only able to donate 5-10 dollars, but every single cent counts. Thank you. If nobody donated their 5 dollars, there wouldn't be any money there to find a cure and to help people "believe in the promise of tomorrow". So, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helped us raise money!

Ruth, I was so busy this weekend that I neglected to tell you I wanted to give $5. Is it too late?
